Mission Statement - Guiding the congregation's mission
Responding in faith to Christ's commandment and empowered by the Holy Spirit, First Lutheran Church proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament. We proclaim the Gospel through worship, teaching, fellowship, service, and evangelism as we praise the Lord, train disciples, encourage the faithful, comfort the afflicted, and embrace all who hunger for assurance of God's love and redeeming grace.
Jesus said, " You shall love the Lord your God ... and love your neighbor as yourself." - Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus also said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them...and teaching them." - Matthew 28:19-20
Who Are We - and what we are all about 
We are people who follow Jesus. First Lutheran Church is made up of many diverse people, all of whom are people whose lives have been touched by the love of God in Jesus Christ. Because our lives have been enriched by God's love, we seek to worship God, love and support one another, grow in faith and become more like Christ in the way we live, help people in need, and share the Good News of God's redeeming love with others.
